Homemade Basil Pesto

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup tightly packed basil leaves
1.5 tsp chopped garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
2.5 tbsp pine nuts
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
season to taste with salt and
add a small squeeze of fresh lemon juice if you’d like

Combine ingredients in your food processor and pulse until it’s your desired texture. I like my pesto chunky, but feel free to add more olive oil and pulse for longer to achieve a smoother texture.
