Protein Chocolate Ice Cream

First off, let's start with ingredients;

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 scoops bowmar Nutrition protein hot chocolate
2 cups almond milk
3/4 cup dark chocolate wafers
5 egg yolks
1/2 cup swerve granular
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Mix together your heavy whipping cream, almond milk, and protein until there are no chunks. Heat in a saucepan over low heat until it starts to bubble around the edges. Add in chocolate, swerve, vanilla, salt, and last but not least the egg yolks, whisking constantly. Continue to heat and whisk until the sauce begins to thicken. Remove from heat and chill in the fridge before putting into your ice cream maker. If you do not have an ice cream maker, you can use the stir and freeze method. I tried both ways and it worked! Just put it in the freezer uncovered and every 15 minutes or so, stir it until it’s frozen to your liking!

Note: this recipe freezes harddd, at least in my freezer it did. When I wanted to eat some I just set it out on the counter for a bit, or microwaved the bowl for a minute so it was soft enough to scoop.

It makes about 6 servings of ice cream total and macros are around 288 calories for a serving with 23F/12C/12P
